SOUND ART

SOUND · GESTURE · AUDIOREACTIVE EXPLORATION

I experiment. I explore. I search for new relationships between sound, movement and technology.

  • gesture control device

    Sound Generation + Hand Gestures
A device based on an ESP32, a VL53L0X distance sensor, and a PCM5102A audio DAC.
Hand movements within a range of 10–100 cm from the sensor generate sound and shape its parameters. Changes in distance trigger further sonic transformations, creating an interactive instrument controlled by hand gestures.

  • glitchy cloud chords

An interactive experimental IDM chord synthesizer featuring warm chords in the C+ scale, glitch percussion, and generative visuals. Play using the keyboard or mouse, or press the spacebar to activate automatic mode. Five generative audio engines randomly select notes, build chords, and add glitch percussion, creating ever-evolving IDM-inspired soundscapes.

  • Loop slicing in max/msp

A Max/MSP patch that allows you to shift the start point of a loaded audio sample in a continuous loop. The result is a series of interesting loop slices that can be smoothly divided and reshaped by rhythmically moving a fader.

  • audio GRID

Allow access to your laptop’s camera!
The camera tracks hand movements, allowing you to grab balls, stretch and compress a mesh. These interactions generate sounds, combining movement, visuals and audio into an interactive audiovisual instrument.
Goal: to adjust gesture-tracking sensitivity to hand movements and synchronize the fluidity of visual and sonic responses with the user’s movements.

  • micro.noise music.box

Prototype of experimental micro-noise music box. Metal can with small metal plates, pieces of wood, wires and sticks attached around its circumference.Inside, a miniature 3V motor is fitted with a small metal tab. As the motor rotates, it produces rhythmic tapping, squeaking, scraping and vibrations. The motor is suspended on rubber mounts to prevent vibrations from being transmitted to the metal can.

  • Generative toy v0.53

Generative music project that creates random notes from a musical scale using the physics of bouncing particles inside a cube.
Start — triggers the bouncing process. Logic: [ Every 15 bounces, one additional point appears / Each bounce triggers a random note from the scale / A passing comet triggers a glide effect / A collision triggers a click sound.]
Randomly bouncing points create a generative melody and a gradually building, peaceful chaos. When the number of points reaches 12, the sonic chaos slowly fades away, and the process starts again.

  • Organic audio setup

Exploring textures, glitches, degradation, unexpected sonic interactions, and the transformation of an acoustic instrument into an experimental sound source. Kalimba’s sonic possibilities using a Organic Audio contact microphone and a chain of experimental effects: Chase Bliss Audio – Generation Lost/ King of Tone Mini glitch, Chase Bliss Onward…
